Its modelled in 15 karat rose gold, with modernist style big block capital letters that stand out on a textured background. The remainder of the band has been adorned with intricately woven human hair something that the Victorians were expert in creating. Its probably a memorial piece which is a slightly unusual twist on the Mizpah theme, and it dates from the 1860s.
