Victorian Enamelled "Effeuiller la Marguerite" Daisy Spinner Pendant mid-century Calibré cut SapphiresDATE: Victorian, c. 1880 An utterly charming Victorian spinning top pendant dating from the late 19th century, circa 1880. With six faces each featuring an enamelled outcome, it's based on the French game "Effeuiller la Marguerite" ("pluck the daisy" aka he loves me, he loves me not) but with more options than the usual affirmative and negative. The words are: IL M'AIME, UN PEU, BEAUCOUP, PASSIONNEMENT, and PAS DU TOUT; translating as "he loves me,"
