RARE Green Polychrome Transferware Plate English Hunt Scene by Spode Copeland Field Sports English Vase It is from the ItalianThis is another favourite. From Spode's Field Sports series which was produced between 1890 1940 this circa 1930's plate with artwork by J F Herring depicts a huntsman and dogs at his side in pursuit of a fox. The border is my favorite thing about this plate being of mixed foliage and flowers. Parts of the scene and border are hand painted with shades of purple, red, mauve, yellow and taupe brown. It is simply stunning! Features a scalloped, Gadroon
