Victorian Memento Mori Skeleton & Coffin Pillbox Pendant bonboniere Highly unusual and very coolDATE: Victorian, c. 1880 A remarkable memento mori pillbox pendant dating from the late Victorian period, circa 1880. Fashioned in sterling silver, it's modelled as a coffin complete with skeleton on the lid and skull swivel bail. It opens via a catch on the bottom to reveal a locket compartment with four spaces, presumably for pills or powders. MEASUREMENTS 5. 0 x 1. 6cm (including bail) WEIGHT 24. 7g MARKS No marks present, tests as sterling silver
