Description
the grapes benefit from the unique Monterey Shale and alluvium soils
which features a distillery that dates back to 1776
This wine is immediately intense aromatically and has plush red cherry and spice flavors
It’s a wine that is a bit of an outlier in Piedmont distinctly lacking the leathery earthiness that have become characteristic of Italy’s northwest region
Chateau Laulerie Sauvignon Blanc Bergerac, 2024 Carignan the grapes benefit from the100% Sauvignon Blanc from just outside Bordeaux, grown on clay limestone soils. It is crisp, rich, with lovely acidity to balance it all out. Mostly primary fruit flavors in this fun little wine. It is a great pairing for linguine and clams. Make sure to cook with some of it too.
