Victorian Japanese Shakudō Locket etruscan revival The band is modelled inDATE: Victorian, c. 1860 A cool antique Shakud locket dating from the mid Victorian era. Two different scenes are depicted on the front and back, featuring pheasant like birds (presumably one is the male, the other the female) by bamboo on a river bank. The middle panel is made from an alloy of copper and gold, treated to have a striking black finish and adorned with two tone gold accents. Made in Japan in the 1860s, it's a delightful thing, with gold
