It's modelled in the form of a stylised fan, set with a pear shaped blue sapphire at the centre and seven baroque pearls at the tips of the ribs. It features orate and fine gold work, with applied rope motifs, a scrolled frame top, and rope twist border around the sapphire. Crafted in 9 karat gold throughout, I suspect it's likely Portuguese in
