Georgian 18k Gold & Enamel Memorial Ring ceylon sapphire and embellished with little silverDATE: Georgian, c. 1794 A superb Georgian memorial band ring dedicated to John Ansley, who died May 31st, 1795, aged 56. The black enamel border with gold writing features white strips of enamel, modelled in 18 karat gold throughout. It features hallmarks for Chester and the year, 1794, which makes total sense that this was made a year after his death! The enamel remains in lovely condition, and its made to fit a size 8 finger.
