It is a very reliable and hardy herbaceous perennial, growing to 1 m tall with palm shaped leaves. The delicate looking flowers are 2 cm diameter, yellow, with five to seven toothed petals. They are a wonderful filler in the garden and cope with more moist conditions than most.
